"Having trawled through many old photos on my computer I have accumulated them all together in one collective webpage. This will make it easier to add more photos and experiences in the future without having to create new webpages every time."...Mike G
As a longtime fan of Steve Harley& Cockney Rebel, I purchased tickets for Jane and myself to go to Birmingham and see him in concert with the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. He died in December 2023 at the age of 73 from cancer although he had suffered his whole life with polio and spent over 10 years in hospital undergoing numerous operations. In spite of this he made a very successful career in music with his band Cockney Rebel with one major No1 hit with 'Make Me Smile' (Come up and see me sometime). Although not a massive hit worldwide it has somehow stayed alive and most people of my age will know the words and the tune. An excellent concert that we enjoyed and Make Me Smile is still on my playlist of favourite songs. The morning after we walked from our hotel to the center of the city where we had breakfast on a canal boat and a canal ride before making our way home.
