"Pictures from the Past"

"Having trawled through many old photos on my computer I have accumulated them all together in one collective webpage.  This will make it easier to add more photos and experiences in the future without having to create new webpages every time."...Mike G

Caravanning Summer 2004

Caravanning again, and having enjoyed our stay with my brother from 4 years ago we decided to go again for a longer stay, taking our bikes with us to try out the old railway tracks that have been converted into cycle paths, an excellent decision in my opinion.  The fact that there are so many such cycle paths is perhaps a reflection in the decision by Dr Beeching to close so many uneconomical train lines back in the early 60's  His report on the railways back then called the 'Reshaping of British Railways' changed the network forever.  But now, in one corner of Britain, a new line is being laid that will restore a link cut by Beeching's axe.  Anyway we made the most of the loss of the trains to cycle out from our caravans to many conveniently located pubs.
